Private blog networks (PBNs) are still very much in use today as they were years ago, many quality networks have survived the penguin updates and have continued to thrive and rank money sites. I know so many people making money online with their sites primarily powered by private blog networks – do not listen to the Moz whitehat bullshit.
PBNs do not have to be built on dropped domains with cheap content. I know many people who run high end PBNs that make money in their own right. The more you invest in a site – the more value it is likely to have. ‘PBN Experts’ always say ‘make the sites look real’ – this is wrong…
MAKE THE SITES REAL!!!
I used to manage around 100 sites back in the day, but found it too time consuming, I now concentrate on 10-20 quality sites that make money and are used to power my new sites.
Do PBN links work on 2016 post Penguin 4.0?
Yes – as long as you build quality. You only have to go through Empire Flippers listed to see how many have PBNs in place. Top site currently listed:
Site 1 – doing $34K/month profit
Now read the small print!
Site 2: Technology niche making $22,837/month net profit

Here are some handy tools if you are building PBNs
Buying content for your PBNs
You want semi-decent content and here’s a few places that can help:
iwriter – Lots of cheap writers, probably the cheapest content available.
Writers I personally use:
Jon over on SourceWave, he charges $9 for 500 words and the quality is excellent.
If you are looking for cheaper content you could go down the route of scraping expired articles.
Finding domains to build out your PBN
PBNHQ – These guys have a great newsletter service with daily lists of expired domains. All the domains are free to register, have decent metrics and are spam free as they manually check each site.
Domain web scraping use Serp Drive, they also offer a free trial.
https://the.domain.name/ – TDN is a pay to play site that let’s you search thousands of domains in your required niche, giving you tonnes of metrics to filter out he spam. You then pay to ‘reveal’ the domain you have found. Jason has done an excellent job of setting up a beast of system.
Where to Buy your Money sites to add to your network
Flippa – The goto website for quick buys. Be very careful what you buy, there’s so much crap on there.
Empireflippers – Have some good solid sites. Tend to be used by people building their digital portfolios
http://www.websitebroker.com/ – Not used before but looks ok.
For buying ecommerce sites you can search through Shopify’s Market place
Link Building for PBNs
Linksmanagement has been around for years, they boast 1 millions pages that accept backlinks on DA40+ websites.
This is the cheapest place to find links from decent sites. You can pay monthly for can just buy permanent links. These may be discounted by Google (you’ll never really know) – but they will increase your site metrics for sure.
If you sign up through above link you will get a $50 free credit when you spend $100.
